I really appreciate how Taylor is handling her CO. It made me take a hard look at LGBTQ culture and I’ve learned a LOT. I now understand the need for Pride, which I used to think was just a fun parade. I also love the symbolism. I now consider myself an ally, whereas before I kinda ignored gay rights because it didn’t affect me. I don’t have any close gay friends so I’ve never seen how deeply this affects people and I used to be blind to other people’s’ suffering. TY for opening my eyes.

Thank you for opening your mind and your heart, and educating yourself so you could do better. That is what being a good ally is! And this is what we mean when we say that Taylor’s CO has the potential to change the whole perception of the music industry. It starts with people like anon, who was willing to learn about the struggles of the lgbt community.

So how it all happened

2 weeks ago I was at home, working, when I get a text from a friend who lives in the USA “yo, listen to this song do you think it is gay?”

“HAHAHAHA SO GAY DUDE”

so I open google and type “is Taylor Swift Gorgeous a gay song” and that’s when all hell broke loose.

I really thought Gorgeous would be a straight girl joke of being gay for a day, like that Katy Perry I kissed a girl song.

Fact: 3 weeks ago I couldn’t name a TS song. Not one. Of course I knew the name Taylor Swift, but all I knew about her was that she had a fight some famous rapper guy about a nude something of her and that I thought she was right to complain and at the time I remember who she was because my ex-wife really liked american country music and like 10 years ago she told me a really young singer was winning a lot of awards and she would listen to it.

FACT 2: Today I cried listening to You are in love while drawning a tatoo I’ll get saying “The best people in life are free”

I swear I’m not a crazy teenager, I’m a totally normal 34 year old lesbian that had healthy normal stable relationships in her life, with a regular job and carrer and a desk full of work to do.

So, how many times do you think this story is going to happen around the world?

People are going to listen to Reputation and think she is gay and than google it and realize, welll, maybe she really is.

Nice to meet you, and welcome. I hope your work “to do” list isn’t very long because there’s so much to catch up on!

(My point in many previous comments: Taylor has made this album for people to listen carefully to, interpret, see between the lines and realise what she is trying to tell us. And it’s not subtle)
